How to Clean Teether

104

Because your baby’s teether constantly gets into his mouth, you need to make sure that it’s clean and germ-free. To help you with that, here are a couple of really helpful tips on how to clean teether.

Boiling

Similar to baby bottles and nipples, you can also boil your baby’s teether. Simply take a pot, put enough water in it, and bring to a boil. As an alternative, you can just pour boiling water over the teethers.

Hand washing

With a sponge or bottle brush, dish soap, and hot water, you can get your baby’s teethers extra clean. Give them a good scrub after boiling the teethers.

Spraying with water and white vinegar

Mix one part vinegar and one part water in a spray bottle. Spray down every teether your baby has and then wipe the toys down. If you like to them to be extra clean, just mix the water and vinegar in a clean bowl and soak the teethers for a while. Vinegar is believed to possess antibacterial properties.

Sterilizing

For this tip, you’ll need a sterilizer bag. Put the teethers inside the bag before popping it into your reliable microwave. Be careful in handling the bag after sterilizing and be sure to allow the teethers to cool down completely before offering them to your baby.
