Drills are great for home improvement projects, installing fixtures, and woodworking. If you are planning on investing in one, you have to know how to insert a drill bit first. After all, it’s the first thing you need to do before you can work with your drill.
To master that, here are the steps you need to follow:
- Choose the right drill bit for your project. Consider the size of the hole you are planning to create and make sure that the drill you’ll use is the same size. To make sure you have every size possible, you can consider getting a drill bit set.
- Check your drill. If its hood is in a closed position, you’ll see 3 teeth extending in the direction of the center of the drill. Rotate the hood counter-clockwise until you are no longer able to see the teeth.
- Take your drill bit and insert it into the hood. After that, rotate it clockwise to finally secure it.
