Are you sure you’re properly protected against the sun’s harmful rays?
If that question made you think twice, there’s a good chance that you’re unsure about the protection your sunscreen is giving you. With that, allow us to clear one thing- how much SPF do you need?
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 should be enough as it can already block about 97% of UVB rays. A sunscreen with a higher SPF can block a bit more UVB rays but there’s no product that can block 100% of the rays. However, wearing a hat, using an umbrella, and choosing the right clothing can make a difference.
Also, you should keep in mind that sunscreens with higher SPF don’t mean that you can spend a long time under the sun without reapplication. They actually last the same amount of time as sunscreens with lower SPF, so be sure to reapply after every 2 hours.
In case you don’t like layering a lot of products on your skin, you can simply choose a good moisturizer with SPF.
