If you have thin hair or fragile hair but still want to straighten it, then you have to limit the heat you apply as well as the number of passes you make. That is exactly what the Comb Chase Method is all about.
If you are wondering how to do it, below is a step-by-step guide you can follow.
- Start off by applying a good heat protectant. This is to minimize damage and make sure that your hair doesn’t get too dry after styling.
- After that, start blowdrying the hair near the back of your neck. You can tie the rest of your hair to get it out of the way. Continue blowdrying until all sections are dry.
- Then, section your hair into 4 sections.
- Get your hair straightener and set it at the right temperature. Just before you pass it through your hair, take a comb and place it next to the hair straightener. The comb should separate the hair strands before the flat iron passes. This will allow heat to penetrate the strands faster.
This method can take some time getting used to but once you get the hang of it, you’ll find the process easy to do. It will actually save you time, particularly if you have really thick hair.
