Dry shampoos are great for giving your hair that refreshing touch. It’s the perfect solution for when you want to skip washing your hair or you simply want to eliminate the lackluster look off of your hair. However, for them to work well, you need to know when to use dry shampoo.
Spray it before you get to bed
That’s right. While most of us use dry shampoo in the morning, spraying it at night makes it a lot more effective. It gives the product enough time to settle in and work its magic.
And while you’re at it, try to be more generous in your application. Allowing it to soak up excess oil overnight minimizes the powdery feel that you often have to endure with freshly spritzed hair.
Now, while dry shampoos are great in refreshing the hair, it’s still not a good idea to use it as an alternative to actually cleansing your hair. Environmental pollution, hair products, and dirt can weigh down your hair and make your scalp itchy over time. Be sure to shampoo your hair to cleanse your scalp. If you have color-treated hair, keep in mind to use the right product as strong shampoos can make your hair color fade away faster.
